Premier League strugglers West Bromwich Albion are getting desperate and Harry Redknapp is the shock front-runner to take over at The Hawthorns.

It is only six years since Harry Redknapp was the nation’s favourite to lead England to Euro 2012.
Flash forward to the present day and West Bromwich Albion fans are waking up in cold sweats imagining him holding up a Baggies scarf and declaring the Midland giants a ‘top, top football club’.
Alan Pardew is understandably under huge pressure at The Hawthorns, with West Brom picking up just one league win since he was appointed as Tony Pulis’s successor in November.

The Baggies were in trouble when Pulis was sacked but now, three months later, they are looking like certainties for the drop with seven points separating them from safety.
And, if West Brom’s dismal run continues against Huddersfield Town and Watford, Paddy Power has Harry Redknapp as the 5/1 favourite to replace him at the Premier League’s bottom club.
Now, English football’s enduring veteran has engineered remarkable escapes from relegation in the past, remember Portsmouth in 04/05 and Birmingham City last season, but his heyday appears a long time ago now.

The 70-year-old has not managed in the Premier League since QPR were relegated in 2013 and he is currently working at Yeovil Town in an advisory role.
And West Brom fans are hardly enthused about the prospect of Redknapp being handed one last stab at the big time.
