Everton are reportedly hoping to take Torino’s Senegal World Cup star Mbiaye Niang to the Premier League but we have heard this all before

Everton have waited a long time to land Mbiaye Niang. Six years in fact.
According to Sky Sports, the Toffees were in pole position to land the then 17-year-old Caen starlet back in 2012. The teenage Niang had impressed on trial and apparently agreed personal terms ahead of a £2.3 million, only for AC Milan to swoop in.
This was far from the only time that Everton missed out on the Senegal speedster.

He admitted back in February 2017 that he rejected a move to Goodison Park in order to sign on loan for Watford instead. And, a few months later, Calciomercato claimed that Everton were about to get their man at last after agreeing a £15.7 million fee.
They didn’t. Niang left Milan for Serie A rivals Torino instead.
But now, six years on from that initial trial period that caught the eye of David Moyes, could Everton bring an end to their longest-running transfer saga.

Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that Niang’s lively performances for Senegal at the World Cup have caught Everton’s eye once again. The 23-year-old stood out in Russia, scoring his first international goal in the 2-1 win against Poland while terrifying opposition back lines with his rapid pace and refreshing directness.
The report, however, adds that European powerhouses Arsenal and Monaco are interested, too. So Everton fans will be hoping that history does not repeat itself yet again.
