Everton are reportedly hoping to tempt Premier League rivals West Brom into selling Salomon Rondon after his fine display at Goodison Park.

Salomon Rondon has hardly been prolific since West Bromwich Albion appointed Alan Pardew as Tony Pulis’s successor in late November.
After the 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday, the Venezuelan target man has scored just twice in 11 games under Pardew.
But there are signs that Rondon is getting back to his best. He was a real menace away at Everton and was by far and away the best player on the pitch, only the crossbar denying him a wonder-goal match-winner in the second half.
And although Alan Pardew has insisted that the 28-year-old will not be going anywhere this month, that may not put off potential suitors with the Sun claiming that both Everton and Liverpool are keen.

One thing is for sure, Rondon certainly aced his audition against the Toffees with a display of aggression, power and superb link play that would have got Sam Allardyce, a keen target man enthusiast, hot under the collar.
But while the majority of West Brom fans obviously want Rondon to stay at The Hawthorns, there are plenty who believe there are potently better alternatives on the market.
Olivier Giroud, Daniel Sturridge and Troy Deeney to name but a few.

Selling Rondon may seem counterproductive with The Baggies in relegation danger but a tally of three goals in 22 Premier League games all season suggests it might not be the worst idea to cash in if Everton are willing to pay big.
