Juventus want to sign Mousa Dembele after knocking Spurs out of the Champions League – and Premier League rivals Liverpool will be hoping they succeed.

Juventus were so impressed by Mousa Dembele during their Champions League round-of-16 humdinger with Tottenham Hotspur that they want to sign him in the summer.
The Belgian midfielder dominated the centre of the park during the 2-2 first leg draw in Turin and once again overshadowed Miralem Pjanic and co despite the Serie A champions snatching a narrow 2-1 win at Wembley to progress to the quarter finals on Wednesday.

However, there is another Premier League club who should have a vested interest in Dembele’s future – Liverpool.
Their star midfielder Emre Can has been relentlessly linked with a move to Turin on a free transfer as he only has a few months remaining on his deal at Anfield. Sky even claimed in January that a move had been agreed in principle but, despite Juve general director Beppe Marotta making his admiration for Can very public, nothing has been confirmed just yet.

And suggestions that Juventus are keen on Dembele suggests they might be growing a little frustrated in their pursuit of the German international.
The 24-year-old has improved immeasurably under Jurgen Klopp this season, who would love to keep him at Anfield.
If Dembele moves to Italy, Klopp could get his wish.
