Scottish Premiership giants Rangers and Championship outfit Nottingham Forest have both been linked with Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones.

Speculation linking Rangers with Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones isn’t going away.

Rangers, however, have shown more of a willingness to splash the cash in order to land their top targets this summer, pulling off permanent deals for Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson within just a few hours of each other for a combined fee of around £5 million.
So if Rangers were to make another bid for Jones, don’t expect them to offer well below his market value this time around. It seems the Ibrox giants have learned their lesson.
And Rangers’ hopes of signing the former Middlesbrough wideman might just have increased. Because the Reading Chronicle reports that Nottingham Forest, who have also been heavily linked with Jones, are going all out to sign Peterborough assist-machine Marcus Maddison, who has a £2.5 million release clause in his contract.

Like Jones, Maddison prefers to play on the left wing – so it makes little sense for Forest to sign them both. Which could leave Rangers free to have a run at a player they’ve coveted for months.
