West Ham United are reportedly hoping to lure Cristian Pavon from Boca Juniors to the Premier League, although Lionel Messi will hope they fail.

Strangely enough, Lionel Messi could be about to take a vested interest in West Ham United’s transfer activity this summer.
The report states that West Ham are in talks with the representatives of Boca Juniors attacker Cristian Pavon and it is understood that the 22-year-old is interested in a move to the London Stadium, where he would join compatriots Pablo Zabaleta and Manuel Lanzini.

Pavon is one of the most exciting talents in South American football and, after scoring seven goals and providing a further 17 assists for Boca last season, he has been included in Jorge Sampaoli’s Argentina squad for the World Cup while the likes of Mauro Icardi have been left at home.
The versatile winger has struck up a fine relationship with Messi in the blue and white, setting up the Barca number ten with a brilliant assist in a recent 4-0 win against Haiti.

“I’ve found a new partner in Pavón, he’s a really good player,” Messi said in quotes reported by AS. “He’s not only really quick, but his decision-making is also excellent.”
And it has been claimed that Messi has encouraged Barca to make a move for Argentina’s secret weapon, who is understood to have a £27 million release clause in his contract.
West Ham, then, appear to be on the trail of a real talent who has been given Messi’s seal of approval.
