Ander Iturraspe has spent his entire career with La Liga side Athletic Bilbao but is he heading to the Championship with Leeds United?

Leeds United could face competition from a Champions League chasing club as they reportedly aim to reunite Marcelo Bielsa with Ander Iturraspe.
AS broke the news earlier in March that the two-time Spain international could be on his way to Elland Road.
The 30-year-old has spent his entire professional career in the red and white stripes of Athletic and made 65 La Liga appearances during Bielsa’s thrilling spell at the San Mames between 2011 and 2013, reaching the Europa League and Copa del Rey final.
With Iturraspe’s contract expiring in July, it seems he will have a new club when next season kicks off, with a shock switch to West Yorkshire reportedly on the cards.
That said, Leeds are not the only club casting admiring glances at a player once compared to the legendary Xabi Alonso.
According to El Gol Digital, Getafe want to keep Iturraspe in La Liga and have identified the deep-lying midfielder as the perfect replacement for Mauro Arambarri, the influential Uruguayan allegedly wanted by clubs in Italy and England.

High-flying Getafe have enjoyed a remarkable campaign, sitting fourth in La Liga with genuine ambitions of playing Champions League football for the first time in their history.
Bielsa may be hoping Getafe fall short, as Iturraspe will surely be tempted by the prospect of proving himself at the top level of the European game.
