Premier League giants Spurs are scouting Sheffield duo United and Wednesday with David Brooks and Sean Clare under the microscope.

World class talents like Harry Kane do not come around too often, so when a player emerges with the potential to be one of the very best around, expect Tottenham Hotspur to be right at the front of the queue.
The 20-year-old Welsh international has burst onto the scene as an attacking midfielder at Brammal Lane but the Sun state that Spurs believe they can transform him into a striker – and one day a £10 million potential replacement for the in-demand Kane.

But if Brooks is the long-term successor to Spurs’ talismanic number 10, could they find the new Dele Alli just a few miles across the Steel City?
Clare, who spent last season at Bury on loan, is on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs, Spurs included, with his contract due to expire in the summer.

And there are certainly similarities between Clare and Alli. Like the former MK Dons whizzkid, Clare is a direct and skilful attacking midfielder whose technique and subtlety in possession belies his hulking 6ft 3ins frame.
He even scored his first Championship goal against Aston Villa last weekend with an Alli-esque first-time volley into the bottom corner.
Kane and Alli are the present at Spurs but could Brooks and Clare be the future.
