La Liga champions Barcelona could decide to sell Yerry Mina and Paco Alcacer with Premier League Everton reportedly heading the queue.

Yerry Mina is not the only Barcelona player that Everton are keen to bring to Goodison Park.

According to Goal, the Toffees have made a £21 million bid to sign the giant Colombia centre-back after his fine performances at the World Cup, where he scored against both Poland and England. A meeting is set to take place on Monday to push through the deal.

But Mina will not be the only player discussed. Sport claim that Everton have also enquired about landing Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer who, like the former Palmeiras defender, barely got a look-in last season under Ernesto Valverde.

It is understood that Barcelona are willing to sell Alcacer for the £30 million they paid for him in 2016. And Everton will hold talks about a potential deal for the former Valencia poacher next week.

Should Everton manage to raid Barcelona for a double-deal that would cost in excess of £50 million, they would look a much stronger side at both ends of the pitch. The Toffees’ problems were pretty self-explanatory last season: they scored too few and conceded too many.

Alcacer is a natural-born goal-scorer who thrives on service from inside the penalty area; the kind of player Everton lacked last season, while Mina would add a commanding and powerful presence at the back that Ashley Williams and Michael Keane both failed miserable to provide.

Landing Mina and Alcacer would give Marco Silva a much stronger spine to build his Everton side around.
