Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are interested in signing centre-back Connor Goldson from Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion.

Connor Goldson might have only made two Premier League starts for Brighton and Hove Albion in 2017/18 but reports linking him with a move to Rangers have fans worried.
And The Argus claim that Goldson could jump at the chance to play for Steven Gerrard in front of a vociferous Ibrox crowd, not to mention secure more regular first-team football after a season of keeping the bench toasty.

Now, it is pretty obvious why Rangers are keen on the former Shrewsbury Town ace. They have already lost David Bates to Hamburg with Portuguese pair Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso expected to leave too, meaning Gerrard is short of centre-backs.
But Brighton fans are hoping that The Seagulls reject any offers that come their way for a defender who, despite barely featuring at all in the last nine months, remains very highly rated at The Amex.

In fact, Goldson can consider himself very unfortunate to not have featured more often last season with Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy forming an excellent centre-back partnership for Chris Hughton’s side.
He would surely be a key player at Rangers though. Because, as the Brighton fans will attest, Goldson is a player with real talent.
