Daniel Agger left Premier League giants Liverpool in 2014 but is still missed at Anfield to this day.
Liverpool may have spent a whopping £75 million on Virgil van Dijk in the January transfer window but Jurgen Klopp could still do with a man like Daniel Agger in his back-line.
A fierce competitor and an endearing crowd favourite, the Danish centre-back was one of the first name on the team-sheet when fit for any of the managers in the Anfield dugout between 2006 and 2014.
Fitness, however, was the problem, and it proved to be the downfall of one of the most underrated centre-backs of the modern Premier League era.
After 232 appearances in Liverpool colours, the former Denmark skipper returned home with Brondby in 2014 but retired just two years later at the age of 31 when his body finally accepted defeat.
But, fortunately for the Anfield faithful, Agger was able to pull on that red shirt for one last time in a thrilling 5-5 draw in a charity match against Bayern Munich on Saturday.
Starring alongside Robbie Fowler, Steve McMananaman, Steven Gerrard and co, Agger rolled back the years with a typically commanding, nostalgia inducing performance at the heart of Liverpool’s backline.
And the fans would give anything to have a fit and firing Agger in Klopp’s squad right now.
