Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal are keen to sign Abdoulaye Doucoure from Premier League rivals Watford in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino could not have picked a better time to make that short trip to Vicarage Road.
The French midfielder was a dominant force in central midfield, overpowering N’Golo Kante and co and providing the platform for a remarkable win.

And the Mail states that Spurs have joined North London rivals Arsenal as well as Liverpool in planning a summer move for one of the surprise packages of the Premier League season.
Although, understandably, Watford boss Gracia is not keen on the idea of losing one on of his key players so soon.
“I think he [Doucoure] is in a big club at Watford. I hope he will be with us for many years to come. I am happy with their level and would like them to stay with us,” the former Malaga boss told Sky Sports.

The prospect of Doucoure still dominating midfields at Vicarage Road come 2021, however, seems fanciful.
Spurs are on the lookout for a long-term successor to Mousa Dembele, whose contract expires in the summer of 2019. Soft-centred Arsenal and Liverpool, meanwhile, are crying out for an athletic and commanding central midfielder of Doucoure’s ilk to add some steel to the silk.
