Cardiff City have been tipped to bring Tottenham flop Clinton N’Jie back to the Premier League from Marseille.

Despite flopping badly during his spell at Tottenham Hotspur in the 2014/15 season, Marseille’s Clinton N’Jie has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League this month.
According to The Mail, a whole host of top flight sides are interested in the Cameroon international – one of those being Cardiff City.
But, in quotes reported by Wales Online, Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock has played down suggestions that N’Jie could be on his way to the Cardiff City Stadium in the January transfer window.
“It’s one of many we’ve looked at but I’m not really looking at wide players. That’s the least of our worries really,” the 70-year-old admitted.
Warnock already has the likes of Josh Murphy, Junior Hoilett, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Kadeem Harris at his disposal so there is certainly areas he needs to strengthen before he considers signing another winger.

So his comments should not go unnoticed with a number of Premier League rivals understood to be tracking N’Jie, including Newcastle United.
Rafa Benitez’s goal-shy Magpies are in need of some speed and creativity out wide, attributes N’Jie would provide in spades. The 25-year-old could also be considered an update on the likes of Christian Atsu and Jacob Murphy at St James’ Park.
And with just two Ligue 1 starts to his name this season, N’Jie probably wouldn’t break the bank for a cash-strapped Newcastle side.
