Glasgow Rangers are expected to lose left-back Lee Wallace to Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers this summer.

In retrospect, it should be no surprise that Mark Warburton wants Lee Wallace at Queens Park Rangers.
According to the Scottish Sun, the new QPR boss is hoping to make his former Rangers favourite the first signing of his reign at Loftus Road.
Wallace, who has spent the last eight years at Ibrox, is expected to leave on a free after a dramatic fall from grace which saw him stripped of the captaincy and relegated to third choice in the pecking order.
At the age of 31, the Edinburgh-born left-back still has plenty to give and Warburton appears more than happy to offer a fresh start to a player he handed the armband to immediately after taking over at Ibrox in 2015.
“There are no doubts about Lee, people sound surprised but you saw his finish this afternoon and you saw his quality,” Warburton told Rangers’ official website about Wallace after a 3-0 thrashing of Kilmarnock three years ago.

“The bravery he shows to get on the ball is first class, as is the bravery to get forward and the timing of his runs is impeccable at times.”
Should Wallace swap the Rangers of Scotland for the Rangers of England, he will be tasked with replacing Jake Bidwell after the former Everton youngster was released by QPR at the end of last season.
The Sun adds that Warburton is also hoping to sign Livingston goalkeeper Liam Kelly, who played for Rangers’ youth team during the 56-year-old’s spell in charge of the Glasgow giants.
