Andy Robertson just seems to get better and better under Jurgen Klopp at Premier League Liverpool.

It is hard to believe that Andy Robertson took so long to displace Alberto Moreno in Liverpool’s starting XI after he arrived from Hull City in the summer of 2017. Because the rampaging left-back is one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team sheet right now.
Robertson has started 18 games already for Liverpool this season, missing just one Premier League and Champions League fixture, and defensive teammate Vigil van Dijk believes he brings more to the team than powerful bursts of energy and pinpoint crossing.
Speaking to the BBC, Van Dijk has paid tribute to Robertson’s leadership skills and has backed him to captain the European giants somewhere down the line.
“If he keeps improving he will [captain Liverpool],” said Van Dijk, who was voted in as Liverpool’s new third captain by his Reds team-mates earlier in the season.

“He’s already a leader. You don’t need an armband to be a leader for this team. He’s doing very well, he’s made incredible steps in his career and he just needs to keep doing what he’s doing.”
Scotland manager Alex McLeish clearly shares Van Dijk’s assessment. The former Rangers boss named Robertson as the skipper of the national side in September, the former Dundee United full-back succeeding Scott Brown.
As it stands, Jordan Henderson is Liverpool’s captain but the England international could find game time hard to come by this season with Fabinho impressing in his defensive midfield role.
