Victor Anichebe scored six goals in 55 Premier League games for West Bromwich Albion before joining Sunderland in 2016.

Victor Anichebe has admitted to Football League World that he and most of his West Bromwich Albion teammates struggled to bond with Tony Pulis during their time at The Hawthorns.
The powerful striker spent three years with the Baggies but struggled to live up to his £6 million price-tag, as reported by the BBC. After moving to the Hawthorns from Everton, Anichebe scored just six goals in 55 Premier League games though he was not helped by a series of injuries.
The 30-year-old is now without a club following an ill-fated spell in China with Beijing Enterprises.
And, perhaps unsurprisingly, Anichebe has admitted that he didn’t really get on with Pulis, a manager who is hardly renowned for getting the best out of the strikers at his disposal with his pragmatic style often attracting plenty of criticism.
“I didn’t really get on with Tony Pulis so much. I did at the start. But then most of the guys didn’t really see eye-to-eye with him at all,” said the 11-cap Nigeria international, who left West Brom for Sunderland in 2016.

“Is it a regret going? I don’t really regret anything but that was a difficult time. That’s why when I went to Sunderland it was like a new breath of life.”
West Brom might have lost 4-0 at Leeds United on Friday but current boss Darren Moore appears to have far more support on the terraces than Pulis ever did.
The Baggies have scored the second most goals in the Championship this season with the club playing an exciting, attacking brand of football that could hardly be further removed from Pulis’ spell at the helm.
