Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are reportedly hoping to finally bring Solanke to Ibrox from Premier League Liverpool – Steven Gerrard could be key

Dominic Solanke to Rangers has been on and off again more frequently than Ross and Rachel in the last few months.
But after a highly-anticipated loan move to Ibrox from Liverpool failed to materialise during the summer transfer window, it seems that the deal could well happen at last in the January transfer window.
According to the Scottish Sun, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is set to use his Anfield connections to bring the 21-year-old centre-forward north of the border. It is expected that Solanke will replace the seldom-seen Umar Sadiq, who is set to return to Roma after failing to score in Scotland.
And it seems that the former Chelsea and Vitesse Arnhem man would be welcomed with open arms by Rangers fans.

Solanke hasn’t played a single second of first-team football for Liverpool this season and would clearly benefit from getting some senior experience under his belt elsewhere.
Both Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria, who has urged Solanke to join him in Scotland (Sun), have impressed since joining Rangers on loan from the Premier League giants this season and the striker has the natural talent to make a similar impact under Gerrard’s stewardship.
