Scottish Premiership giants Rangers look set to sign Umar Sadiq from Serie A side Roma.

It has been another busy summer at Rangers and Steven Gerrard’s revolution is not finished yet.
A tally and rangy striker, the 6ft 3ins Sadiq showed his talent during a temporary spell at NAC Breda in Holland between January and May, where he scored five times in 12 Eredivisie outings.

The report added that Steven Gerrard was confident that a deal could be agreed within a couple of days. And it seems that the 37-year-old was right to be confident.
“He (Sadiq) has agreed to join Rangers because at Roma the coach couldn’t guarantee him regular run of games if he stays,” Suleiman said. “Something he knows he can get in Scotland with Rangers.

“I think the catch has to be the chance of working with Steven Gerrard. The move per the last time I spoke with Sadiq should be done by next week.
“He recently got married to his Italian girlfriend, so the issue of work permit won’t be an issue.”
It all looks good for Rangers then. Sadiq’s impending arrival is likely to coincide with the departure of striking flop Eduardo Herrera, who is expected to return to Mexico after a single forgettable season in Scotland’s top flight.
