As one perceptive Everton fan points out, West Ham United look to have done in two days what Everton couldn’t in years.

Andriy Yarmolenko appears to be finally heading to the Premier League this summer. ESPN claims that he is very near to leaving Borussia Dortmund for £17.5 million and will head to England in the near future to undergo a medical.

But he is not signing for Everton. Instead, it is understood that West Ham are close to signing the 28-year-old and making him their fourth signing of a very productive summer.

Andriy Yarmolenko of Ukraine in action the UEFA EURO 2016 Group C match between Ukraine and Poland at Stade Velodrome on June 21, 2016 in Marseille, France.

And considering that Everton have been linked with the Ukrainian winger for years, and even reportedly agreed a £15 million deal with Dinamo Kiev in 2015, this is not great news.

Everton struggled with a lack of attacking spark last season, famously finishing bottom of the Premier League for shots on target and chances created, and the left-footed right winger Yarmolenko would have been a fine addition.

He sparkled in Ukraine for years and shone in Germany, too; even if his debut season at Dortmund eventually fizzled out due to an increase in injuries and a decline in form.

And with West Ham set to add Yarmolenko to Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks, two other players linked with the Toffees, you can see why Everton fans are feeling frustrated.
