Peter Odemwingie signed for Rotherham United this week.

When the news broke that Peter Odemwingie had rocked up at Rotherham on a six-month deal, did you ever expect the discussion to centre on his respectable goalscoring ratio, his experience in the top two tiers of English football, or the fact he is out to prove a point after trials at Bolton and Hull came to nothing?
If so, you really don’t know the internet.
For many, Odemwingie’s return to relevance was merely an excuse to relive that time-honoured tale. The time he drove down to QPR on transfer deadline day to force through a move, apparently without permission, only to turn up at the Hawthorns the next day to face the most awkward social situation imaginable.

At least he’s got the added benefit of knowing his Rotherham team-mates won’t be stunned to see him wander into training.
But, in all seriousness, the Nigerian’s arrival is quite a coup for a club who have struggled for goals all season and now it is up to new Millers boss Kenny Jackett to get the best out of a striker who netted 15 times in his debut Premier League season for West Brom.
Maybe install a tracking device on his tom-tom though, just to be safe.
