Premier League duo Cardiff City and Wolverhampton Wanderers are apparently interested in signing Super Lig star Yusuf Yazici, the ‘new Ozil’.

Cardiff City have seen a big-money bid for Yusuf Yazici rejected, at least that is what Trabzonspor’s president has told TRT Sport.
The ten-time Turkey international has long been seen as one of the brightest talents in the Super Lig and he has helped the Trabzon-based outfit to fourth in the table with just a few games remaining. Yazici scored 10 goals for his club in 2017/18, although that tally has dropped to one in the current campaign.
And according to Trabzonspor’s president Ahmet Agaoglu, Cardiff have made a substantial bid for the 22-year-old which was turned down.
“Cardiff made an offer of £12m, we refused,” he said, claiming that Trabzonspor had also rejected an offer from Real Sociedad.
Fanatik claim that Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in Yazici and are keen to bring him to Molineux this summer after also failing with a bid. They reportedly offered £18 million during the January transfer window.

But Wolves, and perhaps Cardiff if they are still keen, should be encouraged by Agaoglu’s admission that he’d be willing to let Yazici go to a club where he could continue his development.
Yazici has been likened to Turkish-born Arsenal star Mesut Ozil thanks to his creative talents. And Ozil himself described Yazici as an ‘amazing number ten’ in quotes reported by Hurriyet.
