Spurs’ Premier League youngster Shayon Harrison will spend the rest of the season playing A-League football.

Shayon Harrison might have scored just one goal in 27 games during loan spells at Yeovil Town and Southend United but his arrival in Australia last month appears to have gone down very well with fans of Melbourne City.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker has moved to Manchester City’s Aussie sister club until the end of the season and it seems that big things are expected already.
City are fifth in the table, having scored the second fewest goals in the A-League this season (21). So there is a lot of pressure on the shoulders of young Harrison as former Manchester United youth coach Warren Joyce looks to drag his side up the table.

What the future holds for Harrison beyond this season is anyone’s guess. The 21-year-old has made just the one first-team appearance for Tottenham’s first team and he is in danger of missing the boat unless he catches the eye of Mauricio Pochettino in the near future.
Speaking to Goal, however, Harrison has pointed out that he is taking inspiration from Harry Kane – another player who looked destined to slip through the cracks after a series of disappointing loan spells.
