Have Tottenham Hotspur already missed out on a top transfer target with PSG selling Lo Celso to La Liga outfit Real Betis?

The transfer window is not even open but Tottenham Hotspur might have missed out on one target already.
The Mail broke the news last month that Spurs were keeping tabs on the gifted Argentina international Giovanni Lo Celso, who has shone in La Liga this season during a loan spell at Real Betis from Paris Saint-Germain.
A 22-year-old play-maker who combines class and combativeness like the very best Argentine talents should, Lo Celso has enjoyed the best season of his career under Quique Setien with a hugely impressive 15 goals in all competitions.
He has the ability to fill the void left by Mousa Dembele in the heart of Tottenham’s midfield, not to mention the skill and vision to play further forward and perhaps replace Christian Eriksen should the lure of Madrid prove too strong.
So Spurs won’t be too pleased to learn that Real Betis have just taken up their chance to turn Lo Celso’s loan move into a permanent transfer.
According to Mundo Albiceleste, the ‘Green and Whites’ have signed him for £21.5 million, tying the midfielder down to a four-year deal.

But while one door shuts, another could have just swung open. Marca claim that Betis are ready to sell Victor Camarasa this summer with Tottenham one of the clubs looking at the Cardiff City loanee.
And with the ink still wet on Lo Celso’s contract, Camarasa could now be one step closer to the exit.
