Tottenham Hotspur have had a disappointing start to the season.

Tottenham Hotspur had a great summer, adding Tanguy Ndombele, Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso.
After reaching the Champions League final, hopes were high, so its disappointing to see Spurs crash down to reality with a poor start to the season.
Tottenham have won just one of three games, heading into this weekend’s North London derby.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino admits there are problems, telling The Guardian: “The problem is during the week, not when the competition arrives. This type of situation happens in the Premier League. That is why you need to create a very good dynamic and strong team bonding and, at the moment, that situation in our group is still far, far away. The group is still unsettled and we need to find solutions.”
There are situations with long serving players at the club which need addressing.
And this goes beyond Mauricio Pochettino’s control.
Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen all have contracts which expire in a year.

The trio have been blocked by chairman Daniel Levy from landing big wage hikes over the past few seasons, to the point that Eriksen no longer wants to negotiate, The Mail report.
It was this policy which led to Kyle Walker leaving, and the uncertainty over the players is seemingly putting a cloud over Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino is not blameless, and Levy has had to run a tight ship to balance the books with regard to the stadium move.
Tottenham are dealing with the effects of this, and they have to negotiate a way through it.
Spurs may even come out the other side stronger, but this is far from just a Pochettino issue. He’s just the one left picking up the pieces.
