Spurs are reportedly keen on signing Layin Kurzawa from Ligue 1 champions PSG but should look to bring Yuri Berchiche back to the Premier League.

A new left-back is an absolute must for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
It seems very unlikely that Danny Rose will still be in North London next season with the Guardian reporting Manchester United’s interest, so Mauricio Pochettino will need to find a player capable of competing with Ben Davies.
Spurs are interested in the swashbuckling PSG flyer Layvin Kurzawa, according to the Mail. The Frenchman has allegedly been told he can leave PSG, with the Ligue 1 giants needing to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

But how about the man who has been keeping Kurzawa out of Unai Emery’s team; a familiar name to Tottenham fans?
Yuri Berchiche spent two years in Tottenham’s academy between 2008 and 2010 but failed to make the grade at White Hart Lane. In fact, the only professional games he played in England were during a loan spell at Cheltenham Town.
Yuri has gone on to bigger and better things since being released by Spurs eight years ago and now, via an excellent spell at Real Sociedad, he is PSG’s first-choice left-back.

For that fee, however, Spurs should try to bring the Spaniard back to familiar surroundings. He is a more refined and cultured player than the erratic Kurzawa, blessed with real pace in attack and an excellent cross on the run.
Bringing Yuri back would make everyone at Tottenham quickly forget about Rose if, as expected, the England international moves on.
