Premier League giants Spurs are eyeing numerous centre-backs, including Andersen, Matthijs de Ligt, Nikola Milenkovic and Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake.

A new centre-back looks like a must for Tottenham Hotspur in 2019.
It is well documented that Toby Alderweireld is out of contract at the end of this season so Spurs must make signing a long-term replacement a priority. Unfortunately for chairman Daniel Levy, however, he may be forced to part with a massive sum of money.
The Telegraph reports that the Spurs-linked Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake could cost around £40 million while Ajax are asking for £44 million for their teenage captain Matthijs de Ligt, as reported by The Mail.
Serbian World Cup star Nikola Milenkovic, meanwhile, is likely to cost even more after Manchester United had a £53 million bid rejected according to Stadiosport.

Joachim Andersen’s price-tag, then, could make him even more tempting. Sampdoria’s 22-year-old Danish international is another defender who has been linked with Tottenham of late after a hugely impressive debut season in Serie A.
Calciomercato claims that Samp president Massimo Ferrero will ask for £22 million for Andersen. And although he is not Premier League proven like Ake, hasn’t starred in a World Cup like Milenkovic and hasn’t skippered his club as an 18-year-old like De Ligt, the famously scrupulous Levy will surely see Andersen as paternally excellent value for money.
The report adds that Tottenham have been tracking the former FC Twente man for weeks and have developed a positive relationship with Sampdoria – which certainly stands them in good stead.
