Barca’s La Liga winning midfielder Rafinha has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur since the summer of 2017.

Remember Rafinha, Tottenham Hotspur fans? Of course you do. The Spanish midfielder has been linked with a move to North London almost relentlessly over the last few years after all, the rumours transforming into a saga of almost Leandro Damiao levels.
FC Inter News reported last summer that Tottenham were rivalling West Ham for the Barcelona academy graduate, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Serie A giants Inter Milan.
That was not the first time Rafinha was mentioned as a potential addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, and probably not the last either. Particularly with Barcelona making him, and nine others, available for transfer this summer.
According to AS, Barca would prefer to sell a player who’s contract expires in 2020 with his £26 million price-tag dropping as his deal runs down.

The brother of Bayern Munich linchpin Thiago, the 26-year-old has made just five La Liga appearances during yet another injury-hit campaign. It remains to be seen whether Pochettino is willing to renew interest in a player who’s fitness continues to be questioned, even if his ability cannot be.
But if Tottenham do make a move to sign Rafinha on the cheap, they’d have a quick-footed Brazilian international capable of getting the crowd on their feet. And, whisper it, he could be Christian Eriksen’s long-term successor, too.
