Marseille’s Ligue 1 midfielder Morgan Sanson is reportedly a target for Premier League powerhouses Spurs in January.

There could be some big changes afoot for Marseille in January.
It has been a disastrous season so far for Rudi Garcia’s side, who are sixth in Ligue 1 and finished bottom of their Europa League group just months after reaching the final of the competition.
As a result, Europe Mercato claims that Marseille could pay the price next month with a number of their star players attracting interest from elsewhere. One of those is Morgan Sanson.
Now, Le10 Sports have already linked Wolverhampton Wanderers with a move for the dynamic midfielder with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side seemingly set to dip their toe into the Ligue 1 market. Lyon duo Tanguy Ndombele and Houssem Aouar are also understood to be of interest.
But the report believes that Wolves are set to face competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur with Sanson valued at £18 million.

The 24-year-old, who moved to Marseille from Montpellier in January 2017, has a reputation in France as a player capable of carving open the opposition with defence splitting passes. Sanson also scored nine goals in Ligue 1 last season.
But with Tottenham’s funds limited thanks to the money they need to invest in the new stadium, Wolves should be harbouring hopes that they can snatch Sanson when the window opens in just over a week.
