Everton have been linked with Zenit St Petersburg’s Russian World Cup hero Dzyuba.

According to RT, Everton are lining up a shock move to sign Russian World Cup hero Artem Dzyuba from Zenit St Petersburg on loan.
This raises a lot of questions and has certainly got fans talking on social media.
After all, signing a 30-year-old striker on a temporary deal does not exactly sound like the typical Marcel Brands deal. Everton’s sporting director is renowned for his ability to spot young, promising rough diamonds like Richarlison, Dries Mertens and Hirving Lozano.
Dzyuba, however, is at the other end of his career. And, given that he has never been the most prolific of goal-scorers, some fans are already predicting the second coming of Cenk Tosun, Oumar Niasse or (shudder) Denis Stracqualursi.

On the other hand, you could argue that Dzyuba is exactly what Everton have been looking for since Romelu Lukaku left.
Though a level or two below the Belgian, a 6ft 5ins, old school centre-forward who has been compared to Peter Crouch by former Toffees winger Andrei Kanchelskis (Express) might give Marco Silva’s side a much-needed aggressive presence in attack.
Scorer of three goals as Russia reached the World Cup quarter-finals, Dzyuba could be the missing link.
