You get no prizes for guessing that Marcus Rashford’s FIFA rating has gone up a little. But who else has had their ranking altered?

United fans would surely have wished they could escape to some exhilarating, hyper-real alternative universe during the plodding tedium of the Louis Van Gaal reign.
Thank god for FIFA. And, even with prospects looking positive in the early days of the Jose Mourinho age, the prospect of thumping a 25-yard volley into the top corner with Paul Pogba or executing a stunning Zlatan-esque bicycle kick from the comfort of your own sofa is remains thumb-twitchingly overwhelming.
But while Old Trafford has overseen huge changes this summer, so to have FIFA. So, United fans, check out the biggest movers in your FIFA 17 ratings.
David De Gea
FIFA 16 RATING: 86
FIFA 17 RATING: 90
In keeping with the Spaniard’s continued evolution into the epitome of the modern goalkeeper, De Gea’s FIFA rating has shot up by season. Only one goalkeeper has a higher overall ranking than United’s three-time player of the year – no prizes for guessing who…
Chris Smalling
FIFA 16 RATING: 79
FIFA 17 RATING: 84

Smalling enjoyed his most consistent season in United red in 2015/16, and the boffins at FIFA have been keeping a close eye on his ever-improving form. Up five from last year, Smalling is one of the highest movers in Mourinho’s squad.
Bastian Schweinsteiger
FIFA 16 RATING: 86
FIFA 17 RATING: 83
12 months ago, Bastian Schweinsteiger had just signed for Manchester United, ending his lifetime association with Bayern Munich. Here he was, the German World Cup winner destined to overhaul a ponderous United midfield. A year on, and Schweinsteiger has been cast into the shadows by Jose Mourinho, sending his FIFA rating tumbling.

WAYNE ROONEY
FIFA 16 RATING: 86
FIFA 17 RATING: 84
Something of an annus horribilis for the United and England captain, Rooney posted his lowest Premier League goal tally since the 2002-03 season when he was a fresh-faced prodigy at David Moyes’ Everton. Consequently, Rooney’s 84 rating is his lowest in over ten years.
MARCUS RASHFORD
FIFA 16 RATING: 65
FIFA 17 RATING: 76
Such has been the speed of Rashford’s ascent, a huge rating increase of 11 is still deemed harsh by those who felt he ought to have edged near the 80s. If he continues on his current trajectory, however, there’s no reason Rashford’s rating can’t dwarf Rooney’s by the time FIFA 18 rolls around.
