West Ham United pulled off a bargain when they signed Swansea City’s Lukasz Fabianski for just £7million and he is shining in the Premier League.

West Ham United spent over £100 million on new players in the summer transfer window. But one of their cheapest additions could prove to be the best of the bunch.
Lukasz Fabianski was arguably Swansea City’s star man as they were relegated from the Premier League last season, and he was rewarded for a series of virtuoso displays with the chance to stay in the top flight.
West Ham paid £7 million to bring the Polish international to the London Stadium and Fabianski has proved to be a major upgrade on the goalkeepers who went before him, namely Joe Hart and Adrian.
Speaking to Alan Brazil Sports’ Breakfast on talkSPORT (31 October, 6:00am), the former West Ham hero Tony Gale admitted he never expected Fabianski to be quite so impressive between the sticks.
“I was quite surprised,” said Gale, who made over 300 appearances for West Ham from 1984 to 1994.

“I was thinking is he a lot better than what we’ve already got when we signed him, but I’ve been really impressed. I think he’s done really well.”
Fabianski has started all 10 Premier League games for Manuel Pellegrini’s side in 2018/19 and impressed once again in the 1-1 draw away at Leicester City on Saturday night.
It remains to be seen whether the former Arsenal stopper will be rested for the EFL Cup fourth round clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, however.
