Sam Allardyce worked with left-back Aaron Cresswell at West Ham United and he could now sign him for Premier League rivals Everton.

It might seem that Everton are already on the lookout for a new manager to replace Sam Allardyce at Goodison Park, with The Mail claiming that Paulo Fonseca, Marco Silva and even Carlo Ancelotti are under consideration by the Toffees chiefs.
But it seems that Allardyce himself is confident that he has a future on the blue half of Merseyside.
In quotes reported by the Liverpool Echo, the 63-year-old confirmed that he is already looking for potential new signings this summer – and one of those is surely Aaron Cresswell.

After all, Allardyce knows the left-back well having brought him to West Ham from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2014 for a fee reported to be £2 million by the BBC.
Cresswell shone under the veteran gaffer at Upton Park, even forcing his way into the England set-up. And according to The Sun, Allardyce is now keen to reunite with his former charge at Goodison Park with a potential £25 million move on the way this summer.

And a deal to sign Cresswell would be very interesting, not least because he could end up replacing Leighton Baines at left-back after over a decade of loyal service.
But because, if Farhad Moshiri is willing to part with £25 million to bring Cresswell to Everton, this could be seen as the clearest possible indication that he is still backing Allardyce to continue at the helm.
