Scott McKenna has shone in the Scottish Premiership for Aberdeen this season and has admirers among Celtic’s fan base.

On the evidence of Tuesday’s 1-0 win in Hungary, Scott McKenna and Jack Hendry have the makings of an excellent central defensive partnership for Scotland.
21-year-old Aberdeen defender McKenna earned only his second cap for Alex McLeish’s side while Hendry, who joined Celtic for £1.5 million from Dundee in January, was making his international debut.

But, if that win was anything to go by, Scotland have two very exciting young defenders on their hands.
If Celtic supporters got their way, the Hendry-McKenna axis would not be limited to international football. It seems that the Dons starlet has done more than enough over 90 minutes to encourage Hoops fans to demand a bid for his services this summer.
With Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata both making far too many mistakes of late, a new centre-back would be welcomed with open arms at Parkhead and McKenna – a young, homegrown talent with potential by the bucketload – ticks quite a few boxes.

It would not be easy convincing Aberdeen to part with their most promising asset. As reported by the Scottish Sun, Hull City made three bids for McKenna in January but the Dons refused to sell for as much as £700,000.
Although the longer he keeps impressing, the harder it will be to keep McKenna off the market. He certainly has a few admirers.
