Wolverhampton Wanderers want to keep Porto loanee Willy Boly at Molinuex beyond this season, and they are likely to move when they secure Premier League promotion.

If you forget Saturday’s 4-1 thrashing at Aston Villa, Willy Boly has been one of the standout signings in the Championship this season.
Nuno Espirito Santo had to pull out all the stops to lure his former Porto defender to Molineux on a season-long loan – one year after Boly had rejected a move to Wolves when departing Primeira Liga outfit Braga.
And Boly has been worth the wait. Prior to that defeat at Villa Park, Wolves had kept 14 clean sheets in 26 Championship games with the Frenchman at the heart of their defence.

No wonder, then, that the Express and Star states that Wolves will look to make Boly’s loan move permanent when promotion to the Premier League is secured. O Jogo claims that the Chinese-funded outfit will have to pay £10.6 million, which looks a snip in today’s market.
But, understandably, Wolves are not the only side who have been impressed with Boly’s displays this season. O Jogo states that a number of other, as yet unnamed, clubs are keen to hi-jack Wolves’ attempts to keep the 27-year-old former France U19 star at Molineux beyond this season.

Porto are expected to sell due to Financial Fair Play requirements, meaning Boly and fellow centre-back Chidozie Awaziem – currently impressing during a similar loan spell at Nantes – are both thought likely to depart on permanent deals.
