Stipe Perica could reportedly join Championship challengers Middlesbrough amid doubts about the future of Britt Assombalonga and Martin Braithwaite.

Chelsea fans would be hard pressed to recall Stipe Perica.
The Croatian striker failed to make a single first-team appearance during three years at Stamford Bridge between 2013 and 2016 and few would have even noticed when he left for Udinese.
But reports from Italy are suggesting that Perica could be handed a fresh chance in English football in the January transfer window.
Fanta Gazzetta are claiming that there is interest in the young forward, despite the fact that he has failed to score a single goal in eight games during a loan spell at Frosinone this season.
Serie B outfit Pescara are understood to be keen while the report claims that there is also interest from Middlesbrough.

Given that Tony Pulis’ Boro have scored just 22 goals in 20 Championship games in 2018/19, it is little surprise that a new centre-forward is wanted on Riverside. And these reports emerge soon after the Northern Echo cast doubt on the futures of both Britt Assombalonga (above) and Martin Braithwaite in the North East.
Perica has scored 10 Serie A goals in Udinese colours and also has seven in 10 for the Croatia U21s.
