Marcel Brands was a major success at PSV in the Eredivisie and he is changing things at Everton since moving to the Premier League.

Everton fought tooth and nail to bring Marcel Brands to Goodison Park. And, after months of speculation, the Toffees finally got their man in May.
According to Sky Sports, Everton brought the 56-year-old as their new director of football after a long period of sustained success in Holland with PSV Eindhoven.
Brands spent eight years with PSV and helped the club win three Eredivisie titles in the space of four years, while being responsible for signing the likes of Hirving Lozano, Gini Wijnaldum and Andres Guardado.
Brands’ first transfer window at Everton can be seen as a success, too, with the likes of Bernard, Lucas Digne and Richarlison proving impressive value for money.
The Liverpool Echo has now indicated how the esteemed talent-spotter has made big changes behind the scenes at Goodison Park. The report claims that Brands has ‘stamped his authority’ on Everton’s recruitment policy and has made a number of big changes behind-the-scenes this week, having spent time over the summer planning how to re-shape their scouting department.

It is claimed that a number of part-time scouts have been let go, although chief scout Martyn Glover and Dave Worthington, who is challenged with finding players in Spain and Portugal, are still in a job.
The Liverpool Echo, however, suggests that Brands is the main man and has embarked on a scouting mission across Europe this month.
Based on his success at PSV, do not be surprised to see more exciting youngsters arrive at Everton in the near future.
