Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly hoping to bring Juventus’s Serie A champion Douglas Costa to the Premier League at the end of the season.

The Brazilian winger caused no end of problems as Juventus and Spurs met in the Champions League knockout stages 12 months ago, running Mauricio Pochettino’s defence ragged with his explosive speed and street footballer trickery.
Serge Aurier, in particular, endured a night to forget in Turin. Lining up on the right-hand side of Tottenham’s defence, the former PSG defender was left red-faced as he tripped the unstoppable force that is Costa inside the penalty area.
Gonzalo Higuain slammed home the spot-kick to give Juve a two-goal lead inside just ten minutes. Now, Tottenham did launch a stirring comeback, grabbing a hard-earned draw thanks to strikes from Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen – but it seems that Costa’s electric performance was not quickly forgotten in North London.
According to Calciomercato, Tottenham are interested in signing Costa from Juventus at the end of the season, just a few months after the Serie A giants signed him on a permanent basis from Bayern Munich for £35.8 million, as reported by the BBC.
Though Aurier wouldn’t be looking forward to coming up against Costa in training.
