Liverpool allowed Ryan Kent to join Steven Gerrard’s Rangers and he has shone in the Scottish Premiership.

Liverpool winger Ryan Kent has been recognised for his fine form on loan at Rangers by being nominated for the club’s Player of the Year award, according to the Gers’ official website.
After disappointing loan spells at Freiburg and Bristol City, Kent arrived at Ibrox last summer hoping to make up for lost time under the former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
It is fair to say the 22-year-old has made far more of an impression in Scotland than he did during his time in Germany and Bristol.
Kent has scored five goals and set up another nine in all competitions for Rangers while showcasing the speed, skill and dribbling ability that once made him one of Liverpool’s most exciting young talents.
The quicksilver winger has now been named in the running for Rangers’ Player of the Year award, while he is also up for the Young Player of the Year gong.

Kent is surely the front-runner for the latter but his chances of a clean sweep might appear thin, given that he is going up against 29-goal striker Alfredo Morelos for the top prize.
It remains to be seen where the former England U20 international will be playing his football next season, having previously told the Scottish Sun that he would be open to joining Rangers permanently.
