Liverpool are reportedly interested in luring Bruno Fernandes to the Premier League after a sensational season with Sporting Lisbon.

When pouring through Bruno Fernandes’s quite remarkable statistics, it is worth remembering that he is a midfielder – not a centre-forward.
The Sporting Lisbon forward continues to go from strength to strength at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, And, in addition to 15 assists, Fernandes has now taken his tally to a sensational 27 goals this season, netting his latest strike in the recent 3-0 thrashing of Rio Ave.
The Mirror claimed earlier this year that Liverpool are keen on player who is facing an uncertain future with Sporting at risk of being forced to sell their talisman for financial reasons, as reported by Correao de Manha.
According to A Bola, Fernandes could be available for a cut price fee of £35 million.
In today’s market, that would be a small price to pay for a central midfielder who has scored more goals than Liverpool’s much-vaunted front three this season. So far, Mo Salah has 21, Sadio Mane has 20 and Roberto Firmino has 14.

In total, all of the midfielders at Liverpool’s disposal have netted 17 times between them in a superb 2018/19 season for Jurgen Klopp’s team. Anfield legend Steven Gerrard, meanwhile, never scored as many as 27 goals in a single season, maxing out at 24.
It goes without saying then that Fernandes would provide something very different.
