Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League could push Dusan Tadic towards signong for Everton.

Everton were criticised for signing too many similar players last summer with justification.
Wayne Rooney, Davy Klaassen, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Nikola Vlasic all arrived at Goodison Park last summer to complete for the number 10 position.
And while Rooney can probably be considered the victor, this has come at a cost. £45 million Sigurdsson, who scored or assisted 22 goals from a central creative position for Swansea in 2016/17, has not had the impact required from a more ill-fitting left wing role while Klaassen and Vlasic have barely been seen in Everton colours.

But are The Toffees making the same mistake again with reports in Estadio Deportivo claiming they are interested in signing Southampton’s wantaway Serbian Dusan Tadic.
The former FC Twente man is likely to be one of the first out the door if The Saints are relegated with Juventus, Milan, Roma, Valencia and Zenit also circling a player who has staggeringly been valued at £40 million despite being 29 years of age.
And, in truth, it is difficult to see what Tadic would offer to Everton that they don’t have already.

There are no shortage of technical midfielders who like receiving the ball to feet – it is pacey, direct attackers capable of running in behind that The Toffees are really screaming out for.
And it must be pointed out that Tadic has scored only four goals and set up three more this season – his lowest tally since he arrived in England back in 2014.
£40 million could land Everton their most unnecessary transfer target.
