Lassana Coulibaly’s future at Rangers is up in the air, particularly with the Scottish Premiership side reportedly signing Kamara.

Lassana Coulibaly’s Rangers career started well but appears to be going downhill and fast.
The combative midfielder arrived on a season-long loan from Angers in the summer and immediately forced his way into Steven Gerrard’s starting XI with a series of stand-out performances, particularly in the Europa League qualifiers.
As such, the Scottish Sun claimed back in September that Rangers would be interested in signing him permanently at the end of the season.
A lot has changed since then, however. Coulibaly has been in and out of the team over the last few weeks with his influence waning and it’s telling that he was left out of the 1-0 win against Celtic in December.
Suddenly, a permanent deal for the Mali international is far less certain.
And with Sky Sports reporting that the coveted Dundee midfielder Glen Kamara is due to have a medical at Rangers in the near future, it seems that Gerrard could already have lined-up a potential Coulibaly successor.

Finland international Kamara is due to be a free-agent in the summer and it is expected that he will sign a pre-contract agreement – meaning he could immediately take Coulibaly’s place once his loan spell comes to an end.
The 22-year-old has a contract at Angers until 2021 so the prospect of Rangers landing him on the cheap looks slim. Kamara, then, could be more cost effective by comparison.
