Scott Allan and Ryan Christie are on loan at Scottish Premiership sides Aberdeen and Hibernian from league leaders Celtic.

It always felt that Ryan Christie and Scott Allan were competing for their Celtic futures during loan spells at Aberdeen and Hibernian respectively.
Both are promising attacking midfielders who were never really given a chance to shine at Parkhead after moving to the Hoops at an early age, but since escaping the spotlight of the Scottish champions, Christie and Allan have set about showing just how good they can be.
23-year-old Christie has set up 13 goals and scored another seven for Derek McInnes’ Dons this season, establishing himself in the Scotland squad as a result.

Allan, meanwhile, is in the form of his life since returning to former club Hibs and, showing skill, vision and the ability to change a game in an instant, is showing everyone why Celtic signed him in the first place.
The problem is, however, there might only be room for one in Brendan Rodgers’ squad next season, and it appears that the Bhoys boss has sided with Christie.

Tellingly, however, there is no mention of Allan, and this comes just a few weeks after Rodgers seemingly opened the door for him to stay at Hibs, admitting that the talented playmaker looked at home once again at Easter Road.
In the battle between Christie and Allan, it seems the winner has already been decided.
