Nabil Fekir nearly joined Liverpool from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon last summer and the play-maker could now join Premier League rivals Everton instead.

In June 2018, Nabil Fekir looked to be on the verge of signing for Liverpool.
According to the Mail, the Lyon play-maker had even chosen his shirt number and conducted an interview with the club’s official TV channel ahead of a £53 million switch, which would have seen him earn £140,000 a week.
But, suddenly, a move that looked an inevitably fell through. It is claimed that a problem was discovered during Fekir’s medical and the Frenchman was on his way back to France.
One year on, however, it seems that a move to Merseyside is on the cards again. But now with Liverpool.
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool’s neighbours from across Stanley Park have stunningly set their sights on a summer deal for the 26-year-old star. Everton want to bring Fekir to Goodison Park in a deal that would surely see the Toffees break their own transfer record.

Needless to say, Liverpool would be left rather red faced if Fekir starts next season wearing the famous blue of Everton.
Jurgen Klopp’s side continue to compete on all fronts but they are lacking that dash of unpredictability that Fekir would give them in the post-Coutinho era. They need a player like Fekir.
So this is another reason for Everton fans to get excited about what could be one of the most shocking signings of 2019.
