Ruben Neves was spotted in Liverpool airport – but that doesn’t mean he’s leaving Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers for Anfield.

If Ruben Neves was to make a shock move from Wolves to Liverpool this summer, it probably wouldn’t be announced by his sister via an Instagram story.
So it is more than likely that the Liverpool fans are getting a little ahead of themselves when Neves’ sister posted a picture on social media of her and the Portuguese international midfielder at John Lennon Airport on Monday.
Given that Liverpool is one of the few airports in the UK that offers direct flights to Porto, the city where Ruben grew up and played for until his £15.8 million move to Wolves last summer, the likelihood is that he is merely enjoying a few days back home after his side celebrated winning the Championship title on Saturday.

The Neves to Liverpool rumour has been circulating for some time now, Brazilian journalist Marcus Alves writing in FourFourTwo that the 21-year-old is in negotiations with the Anfield club.
But, in truth, Neves really could not have done any more to play down speculation that he is about to leave the Black Country after just one season.
He told the Express and Star last month that he wants to play Premier League football for Wolves and, in reality, why would you leave such an ambitious club right at the start of the project?

Wolves fans on Twitter don’t seem to concerned by the whereabouts of their midfield star, and seem to think Liverpool supporters are jumping the gun somewhat.
