Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers have reportedly made Tim Sherwood their top target after sacking Steve McClaren.

Tim Sherwood has admitted that he could be tempted by the prospect of getting his managerial career back on track at Queens Park Rangers, while speaking to BT Sport (7 April, 3:00pm).
The 50-year-old has not been seen in the dugout since his spell at Aston Villa came to an end four years ago. But the one-time Tottenham Hotspur coach continues to be heavily linked with a move to Loftus Road.
QPR sacked Steve McClaren a week ago after an embarrassing home defeat to crisis-club Bolton Wanderers and the Standard has claimed that the Londoners have made Sherwood their number one target.
Sherwood, who won the Premier League title with Blackburn in 1995, is understood to be close friends with QPR’s director of football Les Ferdinand, who he knows well from his time at Tottenham.
And the man himself has only heightened the speculation with his comments on BT Sport.

“It’s a difficult job but it’s also a fantastic football club,” Sherwood said.
“If they’ve got realistic expectations of the future, and there was an opportunity to go in, it’s something I would look at.”
The Standard claimed that club legend Gareth Ainsworth is also a candidate after seven years in charge of Wycombe Wanderers.
Ainsworth played for QPR between 2003 and 2010 and played over 150 games for the club.
