Manchester City striker Thierry Ambrose is thriving in the Eredivisie with NAC Breda and could star at Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.
The flourishing partnership with Manchester City has certainly benefited Celtic over the years.
Since the start of 2014/15, John Guidetti, Jason Denayer and Patrick Roberts have all spent time at Parkhead on loan from the Premier League giants with great success.
Swedish frontman Guidetti thumped 15 goals during his one season at Celtic, centre-back Denayer won the SPFA Young Player of the Year award the year later and in 2016/17, Roberts played a starring role as the Hoops won an undefeated domestic treble.
But who will be the next young City star to don the green and white? Well, Celtic should certainly be looking at a red-hot striker by the name of Thierry Ambrose.
Like his namesake Henry, Ambrose is a speedy and explosive French striker with an eye for the spectacular. The 20-year-old has always been rated very high within City’s prestigious academy but it has taken a loan spell at NAC Breda in Holland for him to prove his worth in the senior game.
Ambrose has netted eight times in the Eredivisie this season, including a stunning long-range drive in a recent 3-1 defeat to Ajax.
With Celtic’s striking options looking a little uncertain, with doubts around the future of Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard not really doing enough to suggest the Hoops should make his loan from PSG permanent for a club-record £7 million, Ambrose should come into the equation if Celtic plan to do business with City again this summer.
A spell under Brendan Rodgers in Glasgow could be the making of a young striker with all the attributes to be a real star.
