Leeds United are reportedly in talks to sign Mbaye Diagne from Turkish Super Lig outfit Kasimpasa.

Leeds United’s reported interest in Mbaye Diagne went down about as well as expected.
Leeds have lacked a prolific Championship goal-scorer ever since Chris Wood left for Burnley in the summer of 2017, but links with the likes of Matej Vydra, Abel Hernandez, Jonathan Kodjia, Jordan Hugill and Britt Assombalonga suggested that steps were being taken to fill the void.
It is no surprise that reports suggesting Leeds have instead turned their attention to a cheap deal for Diagne have been met with a rather disgruntled reaction.
Turkish Football had claimed on Tuesday that Leeds were in talks with the 6ft 3ins Senegal striker. And the Mirror (live blog, 11.22pm) later stated that the Whites had only turned their attention to Diagne after missing out on their more high profile targets.

Reportedly available for just £1.5 million, Diagne is certainly the cheapest of the lot. So you can understand why the fans are once again accusing their club of a lack of ambition in the transfer market, even if Diagne did score 12 goals in 17 games for Kasimpasa between January and May.
Reports in Senegalese publication Senego, however, suggests that Leeds are set to miss out on Diagne, too. Championship rivals Hull City are understood to be very close to landing him.
Is this a bullet dodged or just another failure?
