Fenerbahce have reportedly targeted two Premier League centre-backs: Huddersfield Town’s Terrence Kongolo and Everton giant Yerry Mina.

With Huddersfield Town becoming only the second team in Premier League history to be relegated before the clocks go back, it will be interesting to see whether an exodus will now begin.

The futures of Aaron Mooy, Alex Pritchard and Matthias Jorgensen are already up in the air and, according to Fotomac, Terrence Kongolo could be on his way out of the John Smith’s Stadium, too.

The Dutch international joined Huddersfield for a club-record £18 million from Monaco after an initial loan spell. But reports in Turkey claim he could jump ship in the summer with Fenerbahce interested.

And Everton should be watching these developments closely.

Because, just two weeks ago, Dirilis Postasi claimed that Fener were aiming to sign another Premier League centre-back, Yerry Mina.

The giant Colombian has endured a mixed time at Goodison Park since his £27.2 million arrival from Barcelona last summer, struggling with injuries and the speed of English football (Sky).

But it is far too soon for Everton to give up on the popular Mina, and reports linking him with a move to Turkey will not have gone down well. So claims that Fener have turned their attention to Kongolo should have supporters breathing a sigh of relief.
