West Ham United will take Rynninge midfielder Viktor Hallin to London this weekend as the Premier League club consider offering him a contract.
Swedish starlet Viktor Hallin has seemingly confirmed that he could be on his way to West Ham United, while speaking to Fotboll Direkt.
The teenage midfielder currently plays for Rynninge in the third tier of Swedish football and has made just a single appearance for the club’s first-team.
Despite his lack of game time at senior level, however, Hallin’s potential has not passed West Ham by with the Premier League club running the rule over one of the brightest young talents in Scandinavia.
Fotboll Direkt claims that Hallin is travelling to London on Saturday and will spent next week training with The Hammers’ reserve side as he bids to earn a contract.
“I talked to (West Ham) and they said they liked my ability to push the ball forward at speed and to get into the final third quickly. That’s what they saw immediately,” Hallin said.
“There will be a lot of fun (in England). I’m very happy.”
Rynninge coach Stellan Carlsson has backed his young midfielder to make a positive impression during his time in claret and blue, pointing out that Hallin’s ambition and serious nature stands him in good stead for the future.
Hallin overcame a number of injury problems to make impressive progress in the last few months, earning the chance to train with Rynninge’s first-team.
