Tammy Abraham is shining in the Championship with Aston Villa but he scored just five Premier League goals during a spell at Swansea City.

With all the focus on Tammy Abraham right now, it is easy to forget that his loan spell at Swansea City last season could best be described as underwhelming.

The coveted Chelsea striker moved to the Liberty Stadium with a big reputation, and an even bigger appetite for goals, but he struggled for consistency as his Swans side were relegated from the Premier League.

In total, Abraham netted just five times in 31 games for the South Wales side and eventually found himself phased out despite the club’s alarming lack of productivity in the final third.

So Swansea fans will be stunned to learn how much Abraham is reportedly valued at now, just eight months after he played his last game in the white kit.

According to The Mirror, Chelsea are now demanding a staggering £50 million for the rangy centre-forward on the back of his fine start to the season with Aston Villa.

Abraham has plundered an impressive 16 goals in 20 Championship starts, catching the eye of Wolves, but it must be pointed out that he remains largely unproven at Premier League level – which rather makes a mockery of suggestions that he’s worth such an eye-watering fee.
